Anambra Anti-Touting Squad (SASA) has within one week apprehended 413 touts, illegal revenue collector’s and four sets of “one chance” criminal gangs in Onistha and it’s environs.
Reacting on the development, the SASA Director of Operations, Mr. Solomon Onwuemene said that they made the arrests in Obosi, Relief market Onitsha, Ezeiweka, Upper Iweka, along Atani road among others.
He revealed that they recovered hard drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine or mkpulummili, packs of tramadol of different milligrams among others from the touts.
Mr. Onwuemene who thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for inaugurating the squad, noted that Anambra will remain inhabitable for criminals and those who engage in all forms of social vices.
The SASA Director of Options also commended Governor Soludo for providing them with logistics to discharge their duties seamlessly and promised that they will intensify their operations this festive season to ensure that Ndi Anambra and those who come to do business in the State are not molested under any guise.
Mr. Onwuemene also appreciated the Anambra State Commissioner for Homeland Affairs, Chief Chikodili Anara for his support, assuring that they will continue to do their work within the ambits of the law.
