Music heavyweights Asake, Burna Boy and Davido deepened their prominence in the Nigerian music industry by becoming the three most-streamed male artistes on Spotify.

This is according to Spotify’s ‘2023 Wrapped’, an end-of-the-year data on the top 10 most streamed (male and female) artistes, tracks and albums, among others, in Nigeria.

“This year’s ‘Wrapped’ is a testament to the power of music to connect people and bring them closer to the culture and traditions of Nigeria,” Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s head of music in Sub-Saharan Africa, said.

Completing the top ten most-streamed male artistes in Nigeria are Seyi Vibez, Omah Lay, Bnxn, Rema, Odumodublvck, Olamide and Wizkid.

The top three Queens of the Beat are Ayra Starr, Tiwa Savage and Tems. They were trailed closely by Rihanna, SZA, Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Libianca and Mercy Chinwo.

Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ is the most-streamed track in Nigeria. He also secured the fourth and tenth spot with ‘2:30’ and Olamide-featuring ‘Amapiano’ respectively.

Other feel-good songs that made the top ten are ‘Gwagwalada’ by Bnxn featuring Kizz Daniel and Seyi Vibez (2nd); ‘Feel’ by Davido (3rd); ‘Reason’ by Omah Lay (5th).

Others are ‘Party No Dey Stop’ by Adekunle Gold and Zinoleesky (6th); ‘Soso’ by Omah Lay (7th); ‘Declan Rice’ by Odumodublvck (8th) and ‘Kante’ by Davido featuring Fave (9th).

For the top ten most streamed albums, there are: Davido’s ‘Timeless’; Asake’s ‘Work of Art’; Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone’; Odumodublvck’s ‘Eziokwu’; and Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’.

Others on the list are ‘Rave & Roses Ultra’ by Rema; ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’ by Asake; ‘Sincerely, Benson’ by BNXN; ‘Love, Damini’ by Burna Boy and ‘Unruly’ by Olamide.

Rema led the pack of ‘most exported Nigerian artistes’ while Burna Boy and Tems were No.2 and No.3 respectively.

Ayra Starr, Wizkid, Ckay, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, Asake and Davido filled the fourth to the tenth spots respectively.
