The Nigerian Army has said it is recording massive successes in the fight against terrorism, insurgency and banditry.

This is as troops of Operation Hadarin Daji and Operation Hadin Kai have raided the various strongholds of terror gangs in the North East and North West regions, evicting the terrorists.

Major General Kevin Aligbe, commander of the Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC) in Niger State, disclosed this on Wednesday during the 2023 West African Social Activities, WASA, in Minna.

“These achievements and successes have been widely recognised by the Federal Government and well-meaning Nigerians and even the international community,” he said.

General Aligbe acknowledged that there were still pockets of insecurity in the country, especially in Northcentral Niger State as terrorists had spread to some parts of the State carrying out cruel acts.

He, however, said troops of TRADOC, 31 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Air Force, Defence Headquarters Special Operations Force and 18 Brigade are already containing the threats with tremendous results to show for it.

Aligbe called on the military personnel and the public to be more security vigilant to thwart any nefarious plan of the miscreants in the society.

He appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, for unrelenting material and financial support to the cantonment that enabled it to accomplish its achievements.
