Three suspected vandals in possession of 450 stolen railway sleepers loaded in a trailer truck have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Yobe State Command.
State Commandant of the NSCDC, Malam Adamu Idris Zakar, while parading the suspects to newsmen in Damaturu, said the suspects were arrested at Kandahar conjunction of Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State by men of the anti-vandal units of the command.
Zakar said the estimated value of the exhibits at the purchasing level is about N3, 372,500 while the estimated selling cost is about N5,922,000.
“The case is right now with the intelligence and investigation department of the command, after investigation, the suspects will be charged to court accordingly,” he said.
