The Minister of Communication, Innovations, Science and Technology Dr. Bosun Tijjani has described the role played by traditional institutions in Nigeria as cardinal towards the growth and development of the nation in all ramifications.
The Minister disclosed this Friday when he led council members on a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano at his palace in Kano.
while intimating the royal father on the purpose of the visit, the minister maintained that Kano Emirate has played a significant role in the Nigerian economy, saying advices and suggestions from a Royal father on how to improve in that regard are paramount.
Responding, the Emir of Kano, Alh Aminu Ado Bayero challenged Nigerian youths to venture into the Digital economy to contribute towards economic growth and development of the nation.
The Monarch noted that communications, innovation, and economy play a significant role in Nigeria’s fight against insecurity, insurgency, and other criminalities and thanked the 11th council for the visit.
