Philip Aivoji, abducted Lagos State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has regained freedom from the den of Kidnappers.

Hon. Hakeem Amode, the state publicity secretary of the party, in a press statement, disclosed this on Monday.

Amode who stated that Aivoji spent a total of four days in the den of his abductors, appreciated the efforts of every stakeholder who has been involved in the release of the PDP chieftain.

The statement read, “We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers most importantly God’s mercies were visible all the way.

“Thank you all for your concerns and prayers” he said.

It will be recalled that Aivoji was kidnapped alongside others last week on their way from the Southwest meeting of the PDP in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, around the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The abductors demanded the sum of N200 million from the family of the party chairman for his release. At the time of filing this report it was not clear if any ransom was paid to secure his release.
