The Federal Government has promised to reward the Super Eagles for their sterling performance against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana at the African Cup of Nation Semi-finals.

Vice President Kashim Shettima who was in Côte d’Ivoire for the semi-final match made this known while addressing the players after the match posted on the Super Eagles X-account on Thursday.

Shettima lauded their relentless efforts in reaching the final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations,

“The government and the people of Nigeria are proud of their accomplishment” he stated.

also, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh on Thursday said the result of the match was a product of Nigeria’s team spirit and unwavering resilience.

“On behalf of my constituents, the Senate, and the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I wish to heartily congratulate our boys for soaring the skies like the Super Eagles that they are; and the coaching crew for being tactical and professional.

“What the Super Eagles displayed this evening is the Nigerian spirit of resilience and the teamwork we are known for. From their play pattern, all the players exuded a high level of discipline, cooperation, and unity of purpose” Mr Akpabio noted.

The Africa Cup of Nations final in 2023 is set to take place on Sunday 11^th February and Nigeria will be meeting with Cote de Voire.
