The Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has promised to rebuild the Breathe Restaurant and Lounge demolished by Uche Anya, the Chairman of Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority.

Addressing the Chief Executive Officer of the demolished lounge, Mr. Ikechukwu Okeke, friends and sympathizers at the site, Juliet Okonkwo, Senior Adviser to the Governor on legal matters and inter-ministerial matters condemned the destruction, reiterating the state government’s stand on investment in the state.

Pleading with persons present to bear with the state government, the Senior Adviser to the Governor revealed that she was directed by Governor Peter Mbah to come inspect and take inventories of what was destroyed in the lounge and report back to him.

“The Governor directed me to come here personally to take inventories and report back to him,”

“Government is on the matter; there is an instruction that all that was put down here be reconstructed right away,” Juliet Okonkwo stated.

“Enugu State is for the youth; Enugu State is for everybody. We like investors and support investment in the state. We cannot bring down an investment. We are taking inventories right now to take action immediately.”

The Breathe Restaurant and Lounge situated in Independence Layout, Enugu was sealed last year by ECTDA but reopened by intervention of the State Governor.

However, early hours of the morning a couple of days back, the ECTDA Chairman, Uche Anya ordered his boys to demolish the property.
