Coscharis, Ubah, Mock detractors, declares that they are Brothers and have nothing against each other

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Coscharis Group, Dr. Cosmas Maduka, and the senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, have asked those politicizing their business misunderstanding more than a decade ago, to go and get busy with their own business. Maduka, an Umudim Nnewi born multi-talented and dexterous businessman of intercontinental repute and Ubah, an Otolo Nnewi born very successful business mogul turned national politician of immense ability, reminded their detractors that both are brothers and remain so, as the business dispute which some stalk for political reasons, had been put aside more than a decade ago.

Over the weekend, the duo of Dr. Maduka and Dr. Ubah met during their condolence visit to commiserate with Rt. Hon. Benchuks Nwosu, at the mother’s funeral. Hon. Barr Benchuks Nwosu is a popular Nnewi lawyer and politician of strong character, who led the Anambra State House of Assembly group that opposed the illegal impeachment of then governor Peter Obi, in 2007.

During the condolence visit, Dr. Cosmas Maduka and Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah were seen walking into the funeral ground side by side, in the company of Chief Dozie Ikedife Jnr.

Speaking shortly after the condolence visit, Sen. Ubah said that they had come to commiserate with their brother. “We are here to commiserate with our brother, Barr. Benchuks Nwosu, and pray that the good Lord will continue to fortify them. It’s not easy to lose a mother”, Ubah said. On his part, Dr. Maduka averred thus, “We are here to commiserate with our friend. I knew him when he was in Nnewi High School”, (this was around 1970s) Maduka said. Then speaking about an alleged misunderstanding with Sen. Ubah, Dr. Maduka said it’s an old issue. “That was something of about eleven or twelve years ago. I have got calls from people from around the world asking me about this, like it was something that happened yesterday. We have put that behind and moved on with our lives. Ifeanyi was at my wife’s funeral…we have moved on”. For Sen. Ubah, “this matter has been settled over ten years ago, so please, people should just mind their business and then respect our privacy,” Sen. Ubah said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Cosmaas Maduka was at the service of songs for Hon. Benchuks’s mother, Ezinne Mrs. Grace Nwosu, where he spent the whole evening and also joined the Church service earlier the next morning before the funeral where he met Sen. Ubah during the condolence visit. Both Maduka and Ubah have longstanding history and relationship with the Nwosu family of Ezeudu, Okpuno Nnewichi Nnewi.
