Nigeria’s talent continues to shine on the global stage as three young stars, Fireboy DML, Victor Osimhen, and Tobi Amusan have been recognised by Forbes Africa’s coveted “30 Under 30” list for 2024.
The annual list celebrates Africa’s most promising young leaders and changemakers under the age of 30 across various industries.
Fireboy DML, the afrobeat singer known for hits like “Jealous” and “Peru,” has taken the music industry by storm. His inclusion highlights the growing influence of Afrobeats music on the continent and worldwide.
Victor Osimhen, the prolific striker for Napoli and the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, has earned a spot for his exceptional talent on the pitch. His 2022/2023 season with Napoli, which included a Scudetto win and the Capocannoniere award, solidified his position as a rising star in European football.
Hurdler Tobi Amusan completes the Nigerian trio. Amusan’s remarkable achievements, including her record-breaking performance at the World Championships, showcase the depth of sporting talent emerging from Africa.
This recognition by Forbes Africa is a testament to the dedication and hard work of these young Nigerians. They join two other compatriots on the list, representing a diverse range of fields like fashion design and technology.
The other Nigerians on the list are Ruth Erikan James, the founder of Veekee James Fashion and Josiah Akinloye, the founder and CEO of Mainlogix Technology.
