The Chairman/CEO of Chisco Transport Nigeria Ltd, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, commends the Enugu State Government’s proposed construction of an ultra-modern terminal transport station at Market Road (known as Holy Ghost), Enugu.
Reiterating the potential benefits of constructing a modern transport terminal in the city, Chief Anyaegbu with 46 years of experience in the industry said the project will boost the state’s economy.
“Transport is life and I can say that the Executive Governor has a very good intention of how to develop the state coming from the business sector or business environment; he understands how to add value to what he met,” Chief Anyaegbu said.
Chief Anyaegbu said this when he visited the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah at the Government House in Enugu.
Meanwhile, the Enugu State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Obi Ozor reveals that before the construction of the transport Interchange, leasers of properties at the site will, from Tuesday, start receiving their compensations as agreed with the Lessor, Nigerian Railway Corporation.
According to Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, the proposed Enugu Central Station and other interchanges at Garki, Abakpa Nike, and Nsukka aim to curb traffic congestion, enhance safety, preserve road assets, and optimize transport efficiency in the state.
