Call on Citizens To Disregard Sit-@-Home Order

The Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah urges the House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence to take up the challenge of ensuring the repatriation of Simon Ekpa to Nigeria to answer to murder and terrorism instigated in the South East region.

Gov. Mbah stated this when he received in the audience the House of Representatives Committee members who were on an oversight working visit to the state.

Deliberating on security-related issues, Gov. Mbah reiterates, “Our administration decisively banned the illegal and reckless sit-at-home orders hitherto enforced by non-state actors, which had held our people hostage both psychologically and economically.”

“Sadly, these scoundrels masquerading as freedom agitators have continued to make attempts to undermine security in our state and threaten the livelihoods of our people.”

“There’s one particular megalomaniac, scammer, and common criminal, who feeds fat on the emotions and sufferings of Ndigbo. He ironically resides with his family peacefully in Finland, a country where the rule of law reigns, but promotes anarchy in our homeland, goading some of our youths to their self-destruction.”

“This is also a business for him. He claims to be fighting for the interest of the Igbo, yet knows nothing about them and has no interest in their well-being. All he does is create a siege atmosphere and feed on it to sustain a lavish lifestyle, extorting and exploiting our people, many of whom are unaware of his real motives.”

“All he thinks of is how to inflict terror on our people. Otherwise, how can he pretend to love our people, who are known for their hard work and entrepreneurial spirit, while sitting somewhere and dictating when we should go to work and when we should not go to work.”

“I urge the good people of Enugu State to disregard his latest threats. We have demonstrated our capacity to provide security for our people, and we will continue to do so with the assistance of our security agencies,” Enugu state governor said.

“I also call on the young people not to fall for his cheap antics because this is completely antithetical to our belief system. It contradicts our values and violates our norms and work ethics. I urge the House of Representatives to take up the challenge of ensuring his repatriation to Nigeria to answer to his acts of murder and terrorism in the South East region.”

“In fact, it is surprising that the Finnish Government allows this criminal to reside peacefully in their country while perpetrating terrorism in the South East region. I implore the Committee to see how this fugitive can be repatriated and brought to justice. Many people have perished as a result of his reckless utterances and actions, and yet he continues on that trajectory. So, we as a nation must act together to put a stop to this tragedy. He doesn’t represent the Igbo interest or whom we are as a people,” Governor Mbah reiterates.

Meanwhile, Simon Ekpa in his latest tweets announced shutdown of the entire Biafraland for 4 days; from 29th July to 31st July 2024 and 2nd August 2024, Ekpa called residents in the South East to sit-@-home.

His reason for the call to shut down the entire South East is the release of Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government of Nigeria; Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
