Nigerian talented hurdler, Ezekiel Nathaniel has secured the semifinals of the men’s 400m hurdles at the Paris Olympics by finishing second in heat 4 with a time of 48.38 seconds.
Nathaniel’s qualification sets the stage for a potential medal run.
But, his compatriot Chidi Okezie, had failed to progress to the semifinals of the 400m after finishing fifth in the repechage.
Also, in the women’s 400m, Nigeria’s Ella Onojuvwevwo will also have to compete in the repechage, after finishing sixth in her heat with a time of 51.65 seconds. Unluckily, her teammate, Elo Esther Joseph was disqualified due to a lane infringement.
