Sir Paul Chukwuma’s Campaign Council has constituted a youth coalition as part of the effort to drive support for the All Progressives Congress – APC, in Anambra State, in the coming governorship election. The youth coalition drawn from various youth bodies, has a presence in the twenty-one local governments of Anambra State.
In his opening remarks at the inauguration of the coalition on Saturday, the Director General of Sir Paul Chukwuma Campaign Council, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, said that anyone who has interfaced with Sir Paul Chukwuma can attest that he is fit and suitable to be Anambra’s governor at this time. “We find Paul Chukwuma to be the right person to be governor of Anambra State at this time. I have taken time to study him…when you encounter him, you will want to establish a relationship with him. He is an excellent manager of men and resources and has all it takes to make Anambra great,” Hon. Ibezi said.
The meeting which was held in Awka, at the Sir Paul Chukwuma Campaign Office, was attended by members of the Campaign Council including the Secretary of the Campaign, Barr C. J Chinwuba, Chief Uzu Okagbue, the Deputy Director Central, Mr. James Eze, the Campaign Spokesman, Hon. Ngobidi Divine, the Director of Youth for the campaign, Mr. Njelita, Director of Protocol, Hon. Victor Jidefor Okoye, former Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nonso Nwaebili, Chief Hilary Udealor, Jude Ezenwafor, and Mr. Jideofor Ejimofor, the APC youth leader in Anambra State, among others.
Charging the youth coalition for Sir Paul Chukwuma on the task ahead, Uzu Okagbue noted that the coming governorship election will be different. Pointing that Paul Chukwuma is also a youth, just like those gathered for the meeting, Okagbue extolled Chukwuma as a man of immense depths who has what it takes to rebuild Anambra state. “This election will be different. Let’s stand firm. We are going into this election and we are going into it to win”, Mr. Okagbue said, as he stressed the need for the youths to remain focused, steadfast, and committed to the work they have assembled to do.
The Secretary of the Campaign Council, Barr. C. J Chinwuba, also emphasized the need for the group to remain focused and resolute. “Paul Chukwuma took his time. Everyone here deserves to be here. We are doing a new thing because we want to have a new result. We must hold our grounds,” Chinwuba said.
Recently, Sir Paul Chukwuma’s aspiration to govern Anambra State has gathered momentum as he earns the support of several youths and stakeholders. Only on Friday, Mr. Nonso Nwaebili, a Labour Party candidate in the 2023 General Election declared support for Mr. Paul Chukwuma in APC, after his resignation from the Labour Party. This is one of many such moves in what is fast becoming a convergence for Sir Paul Chukwuma. Many such moves are still being expected given the high stakes, as the election draws closer.
Ebuka graduated with a second-class upper-division degree in Political Science from the University of Calabar in Nigeria. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master's Degree in Political Science with a specialization in Government and Development Studies from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Nigeria. His academic background and professional experience have equipped him with a deep understanding of political dynamics and governance issues.
