The Carol Service, themed “Jesus Reigns,” was a historic moment for the state, marking the first time such an event has been held since the creation of the state over thirty years ago.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade described the programme as a proof of the state’s commitment to unity and religious tolerance.
According to her, Governor Ododo’s administration has been instrumental in fostering a sense of unity and inclusiveness among the state’s diverse population.
“The hosting of the Christmas Carol Service is just one of the many initiatives undertaken by the governor to promote religious tolerance and understanding.”
The event was also attended by top government functionaries, Christian leaders, and other stakeholders.
The Guest Preacher, Evangelist Isaac Omolehin, and the Regional Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region twenty-four, Pastor Rotimi Nathaniel, delivered inspiring sermons that emphasized the importance of love, unity, and compassion during the festive season.
Governor Ododo’s commitment to delivering good governance and promoting unity among the people of Kogi State has earned him widespread praise.
His administration’s efforts to create an enabling environment for religious tolerance and understanding have been particularly commendable.
The hosting of the Christmas Carol Service is Ododo’s vision for a united and harmonious Kogi State.
“As the state continues to make strides in promoting religious tolerance and understanding, Governor Ododo remains the best gift that former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has given to the state,” she added.
