In a display of creativity, intelligence, beauty, and elegance, Miss Precious Chukwuma from Amaokwe village, Amaokpala in Orumba North Council Area, has emerged victorious as the Ada Amaokpala 2025.
Her win also earned her a prize money of ₦300,000, while the first runner up, Miss Ifunanya Muolokwu from Umudike village went home with ₦150,000 and Mmesoma Anyaene emerged the second runner up, and clinched ₦75, 000.
The event, now in its third edition, was organized by Amaokpala Development Union, Diaspora Branch and serves as a platform to showcase the talents, intelligence, and cultural pride of young women in the community.
The competition also aimed at fostering self-confidence, developing inner character, and promoting social values among the participants.
Held amidst fanfare, the event featured several competitive segments, including traditional dance, public speaking, creative displays, and intellectual quizzes, where contestants were assessed on their ability to embody the cultural heritage of Amaokpala while demonstrating modern elegance and ingenuity.
Speaking during the occasion, the Coordinator of Amaokpala Development Union, Diaspora Branch, Dr. Chukwudi Okeke, commended the participants for their courage and creativity, stating that each contestant had represented the community’s values with dignity and pride.
In her remarks, Miss Chukwuma said “winning this title is not just a personal achievement but an opportunity to inspire others in our community to strive for excellence while upholding our rich cultural values. “
The Treasurer General, Mr. Emmanuel Okoli, members of the Diaspora Branch, Mr. Johnson Ozoemena, Mr. Daniel Nwankwo, Prince Chidiebele Ikwueto and a local organizer, Miss Ogechukwu Jehoshaphat, described the event as a unique avenue for discovering and honing the leadership potential of young women in Amaokpala.
