Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has distributed 61 cars and 1,136 motorcycles to grassroots leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, reinforcing party structures and empowering members at the local level.

Speaking at the event on Sunday, Jibrin explained that the motorcycles were designated for ward chairmen, while the cars would go to local government and zonal chairmen. He also announced a ₦5 million loan scheme to help university graduates start small businesses.

The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, commended Jibrin for the donation, describing it as a move that would “enhance the socioeconomic well-being of party members and promote its ideals.”

Ganduje also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for appointing Kano politicians to key federal positions.

“We appreciate President Tinubu for making it possible to appoint Dr Mariya Bunkure as Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Alhaji Abdullahi Atta as Minister of State for Works and Housing,” he said. “We also thank President Tinubu for appointing Mr Rabiu Bichi as Managing Director of Hadejia River Basin Development Authority.”

He assured that Kano would remain a stronghold for the APC, emphasising Tinubu’s commitment to the state’s development.

Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, described Jibrin’s empowerment scheme as a timely intervention and encouraged other politicians to support their constituents, especially during Ramadan.

He further encouraged party members to remain “vigilant and focused” in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
