AWKA, Nigeria — President Bola Tinubu is expected to visit Anambra State on May 8 to inaugurate several high-profile infrastructure projects completed under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo.
Governor Soludo made the announcement on Thursday while addressing workers during the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Awka.
According to Soludo, the visit will highlight the progress achieved in the past three years, particularly in urban development, governance infrastructure, and recreation.
“We are honored to host Mr. President as he commissions a range of legacy projects that reflect our commitment to building a liveable and prosperous homeland,” Soludo said. “I urge all residents to welcome him warmly.”
Projects set for commissioning include the Solution FunCity, Anambra Country Club, the newly constructed Government House, Government Lodge, Presidential Lodge, and the Emeka Anyaoku Centre for Public and International Affairs at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The governor described the forthcoming presidential visit as a milestone that reinforces Anambra’s place in national development.
