NewsNigeriaPoliticsPDP Vows To Rescue Nigerians From APC Rule

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, during its 7th meeting in 2025 held in Gusau, Zamfara State, has urged Nigerians to consider the party as the only viable alternative for restoring good governance in the country.

Senator Bala Mohammed, Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, said the governors deliberated extensively on insecurity, erosion of democratic values, national challenges, and preparations for the PDP’s forthcoming national convention.

He reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to rescuing Nigeria from policies of APC governance, whose policies, he alleged, have inflicted untold hardship on citizens nationwide.

Governor Mohammed commended PDP leaders and members for resilience against orchestrated defections, emphasizing that such distractions cannot weaken the party’s grassroots appeal and growing public demand for affordable living and secure governance.

On security, the Forum praised Zamfara Government’s efforts but condemned persistent killings in Katsina, Niger, Plateau, Benue, and other parts of the country.

The governors appreciated Zamfara for hosting the meeting and commiserated with the families of late traditional rulers in Gusau and Oyo, and reaffirmed their commitment to the November 15 PDP National Convention.

It decried the alleged militarization of the August 9 bye-elections, marred by irregularities and violence.
