Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday at the State Executive Council Meeting held at Government House, Yenagoa.
Daniel Alabra, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, confirmed the development in a post on his verified Social Media handle.
Also, 19 Members of the State House of Assembly from the PDP, alongside the Speaker, Abraham Ingobere, have resigned their membership of the PDP.
Members of the State Executive Council have also resigned from membership of the PDP.
