Reports alleging that the former Vice President, who is also a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has fallen sick have been debunked by the former VP’s Media office.
On Monday, an online medium had reported that Atiku fell ill during the weekend and was allegedly placed on bed rest by his personal doctors.
However, Atiku’s media office in a statement on Monday night said the former vice president is hale and hearty.
“Nigerians should disregard this mischievous report in its entirety. The ADC chieftain remains strong, focused, and fully prepared for the task ahead”, the statement said.
The statement added that the ADC Frontline presidential aspirant is fully engaged in preparations for the party’s screening and primary election.
