Any Adamawa State judicial officer found demanding payment or enforcing cash conditions for bail will face immediate suspension and disciplinary proceedings, JSC said in a circular.

Adamawa State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in a circular dated August 24, 2026, with reference number ADS/JSC/S63/VOL.1/83, states that no Judge, Magistrate, or Judicial Staff shall attach a direct monetary condition for granting bail.
It further said that no Court official or Law Enforcement Officer is authorized to demand or accept payment for bail, maintain that bail is entirely free of charge.
The Commission called on judicial officers, court staff, and the public to strictly observe the directive.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to upholding the integrity of the judiciary and ensuring that justice is accessible to all without financial barriers.
