In an effort to improve health care delivery, the Adamawa state government has commenced recruitment of health workers to fill the existing various vacancies in primary health care centers across the state.
Over six thousand candidates have applied for the placement of one thousand, one hundred and thirteen (1,113) existing vacancies.
Successful candidates would be deployed to various primary healthcare facilities in the state after the recruitment exercise interview which commenced at the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Yola will on Friday this week.
Speaking on the development, the Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Suleiman Saidu Bashir said tremendous progress has been recorded since the beginning of the recruitment exercise.
Also commenting, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Fintiri on Primary Healthcare Dr. Aminu Aliyu Ismaila Numan said the recruitment exercise is to fill the gap in the public healthcare Centers in the state.
