Based on the agrarian nature of Adamawa state, the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has expressed its readiness to partner with the Adamawa State Government towards sponsoring youths from the state to Israel for training on farming skills.
The Executive Secretary of the Commission Dr Yakubu Pam revealed this when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House, Yola on Friday.
“Israel is one of the leading developed countries in agriculture and the Commission will support State governments especially Adamawa where the government is investing much in the sector”. Pam added.

He explained that the team was in the state to sensitize Christians on the forthcoming 2020 pilgrimage and urged the state government to facilitate the sponsorship of pastors and believers for the exercise.
Pam commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the achievements recorded in the areas of security, education, infrastructure, and civil service among others and urged him to sustain the momentum.
Secretary to the State Government Malam Bashir Ahmad who received the team on behalf of the Governor explained that the achievement recorded by his administration was because of the unity of purpose among people which was created by his administration.
“The Administration will continue to provide a level playing ground for all religious bodies in the state”. He said
Fintiri thanked Christians in the state for their prayers for the present administration and urged them not to relent as prayer is the starting point for any meaningful development in the society.
