The office of the Senator representing Adamawa Central in collaboration with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has trained seventy Youths and Women in Adamawa Central Senatorial zone in various skills.
Out of the number 36 were trained in Fashion Design while 34 were trained in Car painting.
According to the Media Aide of the Senator, Hon. Usman Maulud Ibrahim, each of the beneficiaries was given Industrial Sewing machine and Big Car sprayer as well as fifty thousand naira (N50, 000) cash to start up their businesses.
Senator Binani who was represented by her aide Aisha Abdulrahman charged the beneficiaries to utilize the items to uplift their status economically and the society.
“The essence of the programme is to make youths and women become self-reliant and contribute their quota to the development of the society”. She said
While presenting Certificates and items to the beneficiaries, Adamawa State Chairman of All Progressives Party (APC) Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal described Senator Binani as a true democrat and grassroots politician.
He explained that discrimination was not done in the selection of beneficiaries as they cut across various political parties.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Senator for the gesture and pledged to utilize the items for the purpose intended.
