NewsArch Bishop LCCN Condems Abduction Of Students In Katsina

The Arch Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria LCCN, Most Rev Musa Panti Filibus has expressed as disheartening the abduction of overas 300 students of  Government Science School, Kankara in Katsina State.

In a statement, the Arch Bishop condemned in strong terms the attack on innocent and defenceless school children, adding that “no child should go through this kind of traumatising experience”.

The statement also read in part “re-occurrence of abduction of school children in our country is a matter of serious concern that must be handled differently.

“The church stand in prayers with the abducted school children, their families, Kankara community and the Katsina State Government.

“Government of Nigeria and all those entrusted with responsibility for security to expedite action in the search and rescue of these children out of untold trauma and sufferings. “Government should take extra measures to ensure that such ugly stories are never repeated in this country”.

The statement assured that the church stand in solidarity and prayers with the abducted school children, their families, the Kankara community and Katsina State Government during these dark moments.

It then prayed God to grant the prayers of the church and other well meaning Nigerians for the safe return of the school children for them to reunite with their families.
