A 35-year-old man married to two wives and fathered ten children, Ibrahim Wakili of Babal community of Malabu ward in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State has on Monday confessed to defiling a 7-year-old girl.
Wakili who appeared before Chief Magistrate Court Yola presided by magistrate Uwani Danladu said, he lured the little girl and forcefully defiled her in an uncompleted building in their community.
The accused blamed his action on the devil and denied that his action is not mystical or carried out with ritual intents.
According to the prosecution, the father of the minor reported to the police on 10th February 2021, that the suspect deceived his daughter and took her into the building, and had sex with her.
The court has ordered that the suspect be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the matter to 22nd March 2021.
