One of the two pregnant women among the passengers kidnapped during last month’s attack on a Kaduna-bound train by terrorists has been delivered a baby.
It is to be recalled that gunmen had on Monday, March 28 ambushed a train heading for Kaduna from the nation’s capital city after bombing its rail track.
Nine persons, including a young medical doctor, were killed during the attack, scores were injured and over 62 other passengers kidnapped.
It was reported that two pregnant women were among the abducted victims of the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train.
One of the women who was eight weeks pregnant and was abducted during the attack gave birth over the weekend, West African Pilot News learnt.
According to Arise News, a family source said the woman gave birth safely in the terrorists’ den.
The terrorists were said to have invited the medical personnel to attend to her and arranged for medical equipment and supplies to assist the doctors in delivering the newborn.
The state of health of the baby is, however, unknown as of the time of filing this report.
