Vigilante groups in Bali local government council of Taraba State killed some of the bandits terrorizing the council on Monday.
The council chairman, Micah D. Dakka, who confirmed the killings via a telephone interview with DAILY POST, said the killings were made possible by the vigilantes.
He said they were confirmed to have met their waterloo in the hands of the vigilante groups, who track down the bandits and other criminal elements.
“Efforts of the vigilante finally yielded results when it tracked down the hoodlums, the successful operation will compel the remaining bandits to vacate the state.
“The bandits were chased from the neighboring local government council of Gassol, were brought down on their knees in Dogoruwa village of Bali.
“The leadership of the council and the good people of the council would continue to give the much desired support to the security operatives deployed to the council,” he said.
Dakka also tasked residents on the need to make available to security agencies relevant information that would assist in clamping down on the remaining bandits in the area.
