The management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, has proscribed the use of tinted vehicles by staff and students.
The school also banned student car owners from bringing their cars to school, as well as roadside parking within the school premises.

According to a memo signed by the institution’s registrar, Dr Kayode Ogunleye, the regulations are part of the measures to curb motor accidents on campus.
The school management further mandated that learner permits be placed on the vehicles of beginner drivers and that unauthorised vehicles parked at various positions in the university should be removed with immediate effect.
Vehicles without registration numbers were also banned from entering the campus.
