Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has expressed optimism that Nigeria will flourish under Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Tinubu contested the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Tinubu is expected to be sworn in on May 29 even as a post-election legal battle to either annul or affirm his victory is ongoing.
Speaking during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Adeboye, represented by his special assistant, Pastor Dele Balogun, urged the congregation to “pray for the incoming government that God will support it and give it the grace to do the right thing.”
The revered cleric also noted that though the President-elect has promised to fix Nigeria, he can only do so with God’s help.
“Thank God the President-elect has promised to fix Nigeria. If God helps him, Nigeria will prosper in his hands,” Adeboye said.
The West African Pilot News had reported that Adeboye had refrained from giving a prophecy about the 2023 general election and the candidate who would emerge the winner of the presidential election because “God has not spoken yet; He hasn’t said anything. For one reason or the other, He has been very quiet on this one.”
