The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, on Wednesday, adjourned the petition challenging the election of Bola Tinubu by Peter Obi and the Labour Party to Wednesday, May 17.
The Tribunal commenced sitting on Monday, May 8 to hear the petitions by five aggrieved political parties and their candidates challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.
The parties are the Action Peoples Party, APP; Action Alliance, AA; Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Labour Party, LP and the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.
The AA withdrew its petition on Monday and the APP followed suit on Wednesday without giving any reason for the withdrawal.
The court is now left to determine three other petitions by Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the PDP; LP’s Peter Obi, and the APM.
The Tribunal will reconvene on Thursday for the pre-hearing of Atiku’s and APM’s petitions.
