President Bola Tinubu has jetted off to London, United Kingdom, for a short private visit, Dele Alake, the President’s special adviser on special duties, communications and strategy has announced.
The President departed Nigeria for Paris, France last Wednesday to participate in a two-day summit on ‘A New Global Financing Pact’ hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.
The summit commenced on Thursday and ended on Friday, and the presidency had earlier announced that President Tinubu will be back in Abuja on Saturday.
However, Alake, in a press release yesterday, said that the President “who was initially scheduled to be back in Abuja on Saturday, will now proceed to London, United Kingdom, for a short private visit.”
No specific date was given for President Tinubu’s return. The statement only said that he “will be back in the country in time for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival.”
The Eid-el-Kabir has been slated for Wednesday, June 28.
