Victory Gbakara has emerged as the winner of season eight of the Nigerian Idol.
Gbakara was crowned winner of this year’s edition of the talent hunt reality television show on Sunday night.
He defeated another contestant, Precious Mac to clinch the N100 million grand prize, part of which is N35 million in cash and a brand-new car.
The prize also includes a music record deal, a video shoot and a Tecno-sponsored all-expense paid trip to South Africa.
“I don’t know what to say. But I want to say thank you. You made this happen,” Gbakara said, in appreciation to his fans for their support.
“Thank you all so much. I love you. Thank you for making my dream come true.”
The season eight edition of the Nigeria Idol started on Sunday, 23 April 2023 and ran for ten weeks, ending on Sunday, 16 July 2023.
