On the occasion of the 2023 International Youth Day, President Bola Tinubu has lauded the “vibrant energy, innovative spirit and limitless potential” of Nigerian youths.
International Youth Day, observed on August 12, is a special day recognised by the United Nations, UN, to bring attention to the issues impacting young people globally.
This year, the International Youth Day theme is “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”.
“Your determination to overcome challenges, your eagerness to learn, and your passion for change are what continue to push our country forward,” President Tinubu said in his felicitation message to Nigerian youths.
The President continued: “Remember, your dreams are the blueprint for our nation’s future. Seize the opportunities that lie ahead, collaborate with your peers, be involved in governance, and make your mark on history.”
He implored the younger generation to “embrace challenges, chase your dreams and continue to be the beacon of hope that lights up our nation” – because “the entire nation stands behind you, ready to champion your aspirations.”
