Crime & SecurityNewsNigeriaPolice declare singer Primeboy wanted as prime suspect in Mohbad’s death

The Lagos State Police Command is offering N1 million to anyone who provides information on singer Primeboy’s whereabouts as they have declared him wanted.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer of the Lagos State Police Command, said the singer is wanted in connection with the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Hundeyin said Primeboy, real name Owodunni Ibrahim, has failed to honour repeated invitations sent to him to report to the station to aid in the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.

The development is coming hours after Naira Marley returned to Nigeria to assist the police investigation.

Naira Marley, upon his return to the country, was taken into custody for interrogation.

In a social media post, Naira Marley also announced his return and his readiness to be of assistance to the police authorities.

Last week, the singer said that although he and Mohbad had some misunderstandings while working together, it never degenerated to the extent of wanting the aspiring singer’s death.

“I have no hand in the death of Ilerioluwa, either directly or indirectly,” his post on Tuesday, Sept. 26 read, “I have never fought or attacked Mohbad. For the avoidance of doubt, I have never instructed anyone, friend, known associates or fans to attack, bully or harass Mohbad.”
