Owners of undeveloped plots of land have been directed by the Adamawa state government to hasten developing them within six months or risk being revoked.
Jacob Sahma, the Commissioner for Land and Survey who issued the notice in Yola on Tuesday, said the affected plots were those allocated in the defunct Gongola.
He said the directive was for those who owned the plot’s Layout Design Right from North-East to Gongola and Adamawa’s ADSYP.
The government said that owners of undeveloped plots within the layout should develop them within six months, starting from March.
“Failure to do so will lead to withdrawal or revocation of their title,” he said.
According to him, the plots located at layouts 30, 31, and 32 are also affected “The plots must be developed, or their owners will lose them.”
