The Vice Chairman of Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State Hon. Bala Muhammad Majidadi, and three others were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen.
According to security expert Bakatsine, who shared the news on his X handle, the abduction took place Monday evening while the victims were traveling from Bukkuyum to Gusau, the state capital.
Bukkuyum is among the local government areas in Zamfara frequently targeted by bandits, alongside Shinkafi, Maradun, Zurmi, Anka, Talata Mafara, and Tsafe.
Police or the Government has not released any statement regarding the incident at the time of filling in this report.
