The 7 year old son of Mr. Ozioma Okonkwo has exonerated his father of defiling his two sisters.
In a press release signed by SP Daniel Ndukwe, the Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Police Command, states that in two separate handwritten voluntary statements, Ozioma Okonkwo’s 7-year-old son not only exonerated his father but also revealed that his mother, Mrs. Chisom Okonkwo, made him and his sisters accuse their father wrongly.
Mrs. Chisom Okonkwo, 29-year-old mother of 3, on Saturday, 25th of October, 2025, lodged a complaint at the Emene Police Division, alleging that her husband and father of her children has been defiling their two daughters, aged 5 and 3 years, and threatening to kill her if she disclosed it.
Upon arresting her husband and conducting an investigation, the allegations were found to be false and misleading; hence, the woman was arrested and arraigned in the magistrate’s court.
“Investigations revealed that, contrary to her claims, the periods in 2024 and 2025 during which Chisom alleged the offences occurred were the same times she had travelled alone with all the children to their hometown in Imo State.”
The police also revealed that they have as evidence two voluntary statements handwritten by their 7-year-old son, supported by video evidence.
“Additionally, she attempted to withdraw the case and stop further police investigation upon realizing that the truth was emerging and the case would turn against her.”
“Consequently, having failed to prove her allegations beyond a reasonable doubt, Chisom Okonkwo was found to have defamed her husband and provided false and misleading information to the Police.”
“She was thereafter arraigned before the Magistrate Court of Enugu State on a two-count charge of defamation and giving false information. She was granted bail by the court, and the case was adjourned for further hearing.”
