Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, has preached peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, love and unity across all divides at Easter
The governor in the message he personally signed on Saturday, restated his resolve to remain resolute in the government’s promise to protect lives and property, strengthen security architecture, and create an enabling environment for development to thrive.
The message reads, “As we join Christians across our dear State, Nigeria, and the world to celebrate Easter, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all. Easter is a sacred season that reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice, love, and the triumph of hope over despair. It is a powerful message that no matter the trials we face, light will always prevail over darkness.
“The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ teach us profound lessons in sacrifice, humility, forgiveness, and renewal. At a time when our state and nation continue to strive for greater unity, peace, and prosperity, Easter calls on us all to embrace these virtues in our daily lives. It challenges us to put the collective good above personal interests and to remain steadfast in our commitment to building a better society.
“As a government, we remain resolute in our promise to protect lives and property, strengthen our security architecture, and create an enabling environment for development to thrive. We are inspired by the resilience of our people and encouraged by your continuous support and cooperation. Together, we will continue to consolidate on the gains we have made in security, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic growth.
“I urge all Kogites to use this season as a time of reflection and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and unity across all divides. Let us extend love to one another, support the less privileged, and work collectively towards a future of shared prosperity. I implore you all to pray for our dear state, our nation and our dear President.
“May the joy, peace, and blessings of Christ fill your homes and hearts. May this season bring renewed strength, hope, and divine favor to our state and our nation.
“Happy Easter, and may God bless Kogi State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
