Ibrahim Abdul’ Aziz, based in Yola (North Eastern Nigeria) is a Regional Correspondent with the WAP.
He read Journalism at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and attended several professional courses, including: Tackling Sensitive Subjects- BBC World Trust, News Reporting Course, Catholic Media Centre, Reporting Corruption- BBC World Trust and Reporters Training on New Challenges- VOA .
Abdul’ Aziz, love for reporting untold story encouraged him to attend other courses on investigative journalism, including trainings at The International Center for Investigative Reporting, ICIR and Premium Times Centre For Investigative Journalism,
He had flair for both electronic and print media including AP, and presently he free-lances for the Voice of America, Hausa Service as Multi Media journalist.
He worked with Nagarta Radio, Kaduna and later Gotel Radio in Yola –two private radio stations in Nigeria transmiting on medium wave band (MW/AM). Within these platform, Abdul’ Aziz did research projects, produced, presented, and supervised TV and Radio programs.
In 2012 he was among those honored by the by Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) and presently he is a member, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Member, Translators Without Border (TWB) international.
He professional interests focus on research, listening, farming and humanitarian service.
