NewsNigeriaAccident Claims Six Lives In Adamawa

Six persons were confirmed dead on Sunday afternoon, in an accident, involving a Toyota Starlet and a Toyota Corolla S along Girei-Jabbi-Lamba road in Adamawa state.
ACC Kabir Bello  Batsari, Unit Commander RS3.13 Girei Unit Command of the  Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident.
Batsari said, the accident caused by over speeding at a bend in Maiturmi, few meters to Jabbi-Lamba village.
All the five occupants of the Toyota starlet car, laddered with palm oil and ramped into the private Toyota Corolla starlet died instantly.
The deceased who were all male in their early 30s are said to be from Mubi, went on a business trip to the eastern part of the country on their way home while the identity of the occupants of the other car is not yet known.
He said one person also died from the other car and the driver sustained injury is currently receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital Yola.
The families of the deceased who arrived at the scene of the accident have claimed their bodies for onward burial according to the Islamic rites.
