The Association of Nigerians in Diaspora has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Adamawa state COVID-19 Containment Committee to enhance the fight against Coronavirus in the state.
Among the items donated include, Plastic Face shields, face masks, Gloves, Nurse Cap and Gowns.
The State Focal person of the Association, who is also the State Commissioner for Special Duties Mr Aloysius Babadoke while presenting the items Friday, said the gesture was to complement State Government’s in the fight against CoronaVirus pandemic in the state.
“The Nigerians in Diaspora have contributed their quota towards the development of the state in all aspects of life, and more benefits are coming to Adamawa as the association has indicated interest in investing in Health and Infrastructure in the state”. He added
Babadoke thanked Adamawa state COVID-19 Containment Committee for their relentless effort in containing the spread of the deadly disease in the state.
Receiving the items on behalf of the committee, the State Commissioner for Health Prof. Abdullahi Isa appreciated the gesture, describing it as timely.
Abdullahi while assuring judicious utilization of the items by the committee, expressed the commitment of Governor Fintiri’s administration in supporting the activities of Nigerians in Diaspora towards the development of the state.
