The ancient town of Yola and it’s environs were on Friday thrown into mourning with the demise of Chief warrior of Adamawa emirate,Barade, Alh. Muhammady Hannah Gabdo Musdafa.

Family and emirate sources  said that Baraden Adamawa, an uncle  to Lamido Barkindo died last night after brief illness.

The Chief warrior popularly called Baba Hamman Gabdo will be put to  rest after fiuneral rite at Modibbo Adama central mosque,  Yola after Jumma’at prayer.

One of his ally  including his children confirmed the death describing it as “great loss. ”

“With deep sorrow I announce the demise of Alh. Muhammadu Hamman Gabdo Musdafa (Baba Hamman Gabdo) Barade Adamawa an Uncle to Lamido Barkindo.

” He died last night and  May Allah forgive his sins and  Jannatul Firdausi be his final abode,” said one of his closed  friend Muhammad  Babayola has stated.

The emirate is yet to make any official statement for now, but already Yola town is thronged with residents trooping for the funeral rites.
