The Adamawa State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs. Wilbina Jackson has expressed dismay over non-compliance to COVID-19 protocols by some schools in the state, second week after resumption.
Jackson while on visitation to schools for monitoring the level of compliance to safe guard the lives of students, expressed dismay over non-compliance to NCDC safety measures by some schools.
“Despite series of meetings with stakeholders in the education sector, educating them on the dangers associated to COVID-19 pandemic, some schools are yet to comply with the NCDC safety measures.
“Disciplinary measures will be taken against any principal found violating the NCDC guidelines; principals should always maintain sanitary hygiene in order to protect students from contracting any disease”. She said
Jackson called for attitudinal change among the principals and the teachers for the overall development of the educational system in the state by ensuring strict compliance to COVID-19 guidelines.
