HealthNewsPeopleWellnessFoundation To Cater For Widows, Orphans Launch In Adamawa

Wife of the Majority Leader Adamawa State House of Assembly, representing Jada/Mbulo constituency, Hajiya Fatima Hammantukur Yettisuri has launched a nongovernmental organization “Fati Mbulo Foundation” (FMF) to cater for poor widows, orphans and vulnerable in the society.

At the formal launch in Jada town, the founder said the NGO will revolve around the wellbeing of the widows and orphans not only in Jada local government area of Adamawa State, but Nigeria as a whole.

“The Foundation will continue to reach out to more of such people in order to improve their living standard”. She said.

In his remark, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas commended the founder for her effort to advance social and economic condition of poor widows and less privileged in the society, “I’m optimistic that the foundation will attain it noble objectives of touching the lives of the less privileged not only in Jada but Adamawa and Nigeria in general.

“I pledged the sum seven hundred and fifty thousand naira (#750,000) on behalf of the  Members of the State Assembly and Iya Abbas Foundation respectively in support of FMF towards transforming the lives of the people”. He said.

On his part, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Aloysiuos Babadoke, described the foundation as first of its kind in Jada, and appealed for support so as to enable the foundation realize its objectives.
