To replace looted items by hoodlums recently at the Damare permanent Orientation Camp of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Girei local government area, the Adamawa state government has donated a bus ambulance, one thousand pieces of new mattresses, one thousand pillows and fifty eight ceiling fans to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said government has resolve to replenish the vandalised Camp facilities following a request by the NYSC State Coordinator, Malam Ibrahim Tukur during a visit in the Government House, Yola last Monday.
“This is in addition to the total renovation of the vandalised Camp Clinic facilities as well as procurement of new generator and eight fans for the camp clinic”. He said
Receiving the items on behalf of the State Coordinator, the Assistant Director of NYSC, Mrs. Jummai Wange Kwache, described the gesture as timely and commendable.
“The gesture is unprecedented and a clear proof of the love and passion the Governor has for NYSC as well as corps members”. She added.
