Adamawa State Police Command has arrested four suspected armed robbers who have been terrorizing residents of Sangare FUTY in Girei local government area.

A statement by the command spokesman DSP Suleian Yahya Nguroje explained that items recovered from them include , recovers Laptops, Handsets, Air Conditions,Sim cards of various Networks and many valuables.

The statement read “Following the report received from residents of Sangere Futy over House to House Robbery activities in  their area . On the 25/11/2020 the command arrested Mustapha Adamu 21years, Suleman Adamu 23years, Mudassir Yahuza 22years and Ismail Usman 23 years and recovers Laptops, Handsets, Air Conditions, Sim cards of various Networks and many valuables, all residents of Sabon Gari Futy, Zango and Sami naka of Girei,Yola North and South local Government Areas.

“The Suspects  prior to their arrest, attacked several houses in Sangere Futy, Federal housing and Viniklang suburb of Girei ,placed their Victims at Gunpoint and robbed them of their belongings.

“Since then, the commissioner of police CP OLUGBENGA ADEYANJU, fdc, deployed Detectives for immediate investigation and possible arrest of the culprits.

“The police haven gone extra mile and successfully apprehended the culprits, recovers Laptops, Handsets, Air Conditions, Sim cards of various Networks and many valuables”.

The statement further said the suspects will be arraign before competent Court for prosecution.

The Command while assuring members of the public its commitment to protecting lives and properties , enjoins  residents to desist from buying used items.

It calls on the public to report any suspicious person or group around their neighbourhoods to the nearest Police Division or report same through any of the Police Command Control/Emergency numbers: 08089671313, 08107364974, 08053872326.
