A member of the committee who is also the Commissioner for Health Prof. Abdullahi Isa confirmed the development to the Newsmen in Yola said that from December 2020 to date, 26 people had died from the virus.

Isa explained that Yola North and Yola South local governments had the highest records of infection and deaths with about 247 and 156 cases respectively, followed by Girei, with 44 cases, and Fufore, with 30 cases in other LGAs.

“Following the second wave of the disease, from December to date, 26 people have been confirmed dead from Coronavirus and 73 positive cases recorded since the beginning of January in Adamawa.

“And within the second week of January alone, the total sample collected is 2, 206 out of which 43 are positives and 10 people have died from the disease.
