The Chairman of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Salihu Dovo has been killed by gunmen who kidnapped him early hours of Sunday, local residents have said.
The kidnappers has called an official of the Local Government to announce the killing of the local government boss.
Already, community members are suspecting a case of hired assassins.
A source said “they called an official of the Council to inform him of the killing, telling them to go search for his corpse in the bush.
“Members of the community went into the bush and started looking for his body, it was found not long ago. The body is been taken to town now,” the source said.
Dovo was kidnapped by gunmen who stormed his residence in Sabon Gari Jalingo at exactly 1 am. He was later murdered by his assailants.
